Darjeeling Phuguri Second Flush 2023

From the bushes of the renowned AV2 cultivar grown at an altitude of 1800 m. Nicely crafted, regularly rolled, fully oxidised leaves, full of fluffy golden tips with a delicate sweet fruity aroma with a predominance of sweet spices and a trace of yellow melon. A chestnut brown infusion of dense, round, creamy flavours full of stone fruit, pickled cranberries, sugar cane and pecans.

How to prepare Darjeeling tea 

Use 5 grams of tea leaves for 0.5 litre of boiling water cooled to 85-90 °C, steep for 2–3 minutes. Feel free to experiment with steeping time, water temperature, and the amount of tea leaves. You can also read our articles on tea preparation and water quality.
Macerate: Tea is excellent also as macerated in cold water. Put approx. 7 g of tea leaves into 1 l jug or bottle. Fill with cold water and let it steep overnight and you will have a delicious, cooling, and encouraging beverage in the morning!
