Green Tea - Nepal

Nepalese teas have been undergoing a rapid and dynamic development in recent years. Today, not only black teas, but also white and green teas come from the picturesque Nepal. Nepalese green tea retains its typical alpine character. The rich variety of flavours is created by the slow growth of the tea leaves in the cool climate of the Himalayan foothills. The teas of Nepal come from truly beautiful wild nature in the shadow of the highest peaks in the world. Nepal's tea gardens in the Ilam or Dhankuta regions are situated on steep slopes at altitudes of 1500-2000 metres above sea level.
