How to brew Baked Gaba Oolong

Use 5 grams of tea leaves for 0.5 litre of boiling water cooled to 85-90 °C, steep for 2–3 minutes. Feel free to experiment with steeping time, water temperature, and the amount of tea leaves. You can also read our articles on tea preparation and water quality. These tea leaves are also suitable for Asian-style preparation, which includes multiple infusions: you steep 5 grams of tea leaves per 150 ml of water that has boiled and cooled to 85–90 °C for 30 seconds and in the following three infusions, you steep the leaves for 40, 60, and 90 seconds, respectively.

Tea with GABA

The Gaba Oolong (GABA stands for gamma-aminobutyric acid) is a product of natural farming. It is grown in harmony with the local ecosystem, in the most natural conditions possible without chemistry that would support or protect the growth of the tea shrubs. The tea leaves of the Jin Xuan cultivar are naturally rich in glutamic acid, which is a GABA precursor. They meet or exceed the Japanese standard of 150 mg of GABA per 100 grams of tea. The production of Gaba tea differs from the production of other teas: it is processed in the nitric atmosphere without access to air. The Gaba Oolong has a very positive effect on the nervous system and brain receptors.
Many clinical studies have shown that the ingestion of GABA releases growth hormone, especially after exercise, with remarkable effectiveness. The release of growth hormone is known to increase lean body mass. Consequently, Gaba tea is a valuable nutritional supplement for bodybuilders, powerlifters, runners, martial artists, and athletes of all types. In addition, because of its calming and soothing effects, GABA also lowers blood pressure, helps control hypoglycemia, prevents anxiety, and promotes restful sleep. To an extent, it also regulates appetite, which is helpful in maintaining optimal weight. All tea has health-promoting compounds, but GABA tea has the highest concentration of antioxidants, including catechins, flavonoids, and polyphenols. Anti-oxidants are helpful in fighting many types of diseases including cancer, Parkinson's disease, senility, drug-induced deafness, schizophrenia, and Alzheimer's disease.

GABA Tea Production

Fresh tea leaf is put into a high pressure barrel and vacuumed until the barrel is free of oxygen. In order to make sure and prevent oxygen from entering, nitrogen is flushed into the barrel and left for more than 6 hours (depending on the weather, tea leaf and other factors sometimes more than 10 hours are needed). When it is done, the leaf is taken out of the barrel, then fried to halt oxidation, rolled, dried, compressed, rolled, compressed, and finally redried.
This GABA tea is made of hand picked leaves.
