Exclusive Gyokuro coming from mountain region Shibushi in the very south of Japan on Kyushu island in Kagoshima prefecture. Dark green metallic shiny leaves shaped evenly into long needles with an intense cooling aroma. Right after infusing the leaves change the colour from a dark green into a brighter grass-like green one. Light green in a cup with a delicate balanced yet oily flavour with a wonderful umami overwhelming all gustatory cells. Sweet or even milky grassy vibrating aftertaste with a hint of citruses and enchanting spring flowers. Still the tea is not excentric, on the contrary, it fulfils the expectations of a perfect Japanese Gyokuro.
Preparation: 1 teaspoon (5 g) of tea for 200 ml of boiled water, cooled down to 55 - 60°C, steep for 50 seconds. For second infusion, cool the water down to 65 - 70°C, steep only for 15 seconds. You can prepare more infusions in a similar way.
