Vintage Japanese Sencha teaware set.  A tea caddy to store tea leaves, a teaspoon (Chago), 5 saucers, and a wastewater basin (Chakoboshi) are included. All items are made of pure copper. The inside of the tea caddy is coated with tin. These are made about 30 years ago.
The engraved seal of the atelier and pure copper (Jun Do) is carved on the bottom of the tea caddy. The original wooden box with the signature of the atelier is also included.
Copper has an antibacterial and sterilizes effect, it does not create a „metal taste“ in your mouth. Copper has a chlorine-dissolving effect. It does not cause a metal allergy. Copper is a very traditional widely used material, it also fits our modern lifestyle.
