All about tea

In Europe, tea drinking spread by dint of the Brits’ liking for this beverage. They got to know it during their colonisation years and in the following years tea made its way on our tables. Accoridng to historical sources, people have known tea for 5,000 years. French historian Candolle listed it among the oldest cultivated plants. L. Lewin argues that tea leaves were found in nothern China next to skeletons in graves as old as 10,000 years.
Long before the start of the Common Era, tea drinking tradition was quite common around the Long River. Tea was known to doctors and sought after by Chinese artists and writers and, of course, emperors.
The world of tea is as diverse as its history and it is our pleasure to be your guides on your journey of discovery.
