Competition Oolong from Taiwan
Traditionally processed leaves evenly rolled into tiny balls of a metallic grey green colour and an intense sweet baked aroma with tones of dried plums and sugar cane. Light ochre greenish in a cup with a soft flavour  with a very precise balance between baked and vegetal tones. There is a hint of pickled plums and apricots, paste honey, walnuts, cooling vanilla and slight tone of ginseng. 
This oolong was awarded a golden prize at Lugu Farmer Association Competition Tea in June 2019, however the competition rules dont allow to say farmer´s name and place of production. 
Cultivar: Chin Xin Oolong 青心烏龍

Preparation: we recommend to prepare the tea in 1,5 dcl of water. Put 3 g of tea into a warmed teapot and pour the boiled water, cooled down to 85°C . Let is steep for 1 – 1,5 minute, then pour into a cup. You can repeat the process many times, untill the tea has a good taste. With further infusions, we slightly increase water temperature and time of steeping.

The traditional Dong Ding oolong tea is planted at 700–200-m high mountain area which tea are mostly made by strain of the plant Chin Xin Oolong. Tea was picked one bud 2 leaves or one bud 3 leaves and produced in about 30% fermentation and heavy roasted. 
It is said Dong Ding Oolong brought back from Fujian province by promoted scholar (Jui Ren 舉人) Fong Chi Lin from Lugu County in year 1885 when he came back from China pass by from Wu Yi Mt and brought back the 36 tea plants Chin Xin Oolong (青心烏龍). Because Shan Xian Lin was told that Fong Chi Lin did not have enough money attend for imperia civil examination. So, He helped Fong Chi. After Fong Chi Lin successfully won a promoted scholar (Jui Ren)  he gave 12 tea plants to Mr. Lin Shan Xian who successfully grown these plant near “Kylin Pond” at Lugu, Dong Ding area.
This traditional Dong Ding Oolong tea is a hand-made artisan tea, with an unforgettable taste and supreme aroma. It is a spectacular choice for the Oolong tea lover.
