Delicate cherry wood is one of my favourites. It is firm, shiny in sections, relatively hard and dense. Subjectively it is a “feminine wood”. Its colours range from the shades of pink to orange, sometimes you encounter even greenish tones − in trunks that had lain in damp places. It has light, creamy sapwood under its bark. Pretty wild colours and patterns are found in wild cherry.
