The kettle has two lids, metal and porcelain, in a gift box, is in perfect condition, originally intended for sake, but ideal for heating water for tea. We recommend cleaning with hot water (without detergent!) before use. This cast iron kettle called Choshi was made by the famous craftsman Masamitsu Kikuchi. Mr. Masamitsu Kikuchi is a well-known artist specializing in the production of kama (tea ceremony pots) and lives in Yamagata, one of the largest centers of cast iron production.
