2011 Jingmai Wild Arbor Ripe Tuocha
Dark Shu Puerh pressed into rather dense traditional 100-gram Tuo Cha nests. The leaves come from wild tea plants in the Jingmai area of the Yunnan province.
Dense dark brown-red infusion of round sweet woody to resinous scent, creamy smooth taste with pleasant delicate woodiness, a pinch of cinnamon, santal wood and camphor and slight chilli sharpness on the tongue. The tea endures an incredible number of infusions.
Wild trees – Yeshu
Brewing recommendations: 4–5 g of tea per 100 ml of boiling water, steep for 20, 15, 10… seconds. This tea is ideally prepared in a miniature teapot, shiboridashi or zhong and cup(s) of the same volume so that the entire content could be strained at once.
