Jade Oolong Natural Farming

Moderately oxidized oolong from a cultivar Cui Yu (TTES13 Jade oolong) grown at 300 – 350 m altitude in Nantou County nearby Ming Jian town, west Taiwan. Tea was grown and processed by Mr. Huang who grows tea in a Natural Farming style, in harmony with the surrounding nature without any chemical fertilizers and pesticides. Slight oxidation 15 %, traditional tight rolling into middle-sized balls of darker green color, with a fruity aroma and a hint of nuts. Transparent light green in a cup with a soft slightly astringent yet creamy flavor full of a pickled fruit taste (strawberries and apricots) and the scent of citrus and jasmine flowers.

Preparation: We recommend preparing the tea in 1,5 dcl of water. Put 3 g of tea into a warmed teapot and pour the boiled water, cooled down to 85°C. Let it steep for 1 – 1,5 minutes, then pour into a cup. You can repeat the process a few times.
